Chicken Hut:

The hut for locking up your chickens and collecting the eggs, can come in many shapes and sizes – one such store-bought example has already been shown in the earlier picture.

This is a typical example with a nest box that can be accessed from the outside, meaning that you do not have to go into the shed at all except to perform duties such as cleaning-out, tending to birds etc.

However a simple garden shed can do for a chicken coop, just cut in a small access door about 12 inches square for access.

If the shed is raised from the ground, then provide a simple ramp to access the coop as in the example below. This particular example allows the chickens access to a raised area within the shed.
